The first CIRM Annual Technical Workshop will take place from 13-14 December in London, UK. The purpose of the meeting is to progress CIRM's technical agenda, gathering members together over two days to focus on open work items.
Because it will be dedicated to technical work, the Workshop will not feature presentations or networking events. There will be no direct costs to CIRM members for participating in the meeting; however members will be required to cover their own accomodation and subsistence expenses (there may be a nominal charge for tea and coffee during the meeting).
Due to budgetary constraints we are unable to provide lunches, however there are a number of restaraunts and sandwich bars located near to the venue.
Thursday 13th December 09:30 - 17:00
Friday 14th December 09:00 - 15:00

The venue for the Workshop is Trinity House.
Trinity House is a charity dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers, providing education, support and welfare to the seafaring community with a statutory duty as a General Lighthouse Authority to deliver a reliable, efficient and cost-effective aids to navigation service for the benefit and safety of all mariners.
CIRM is very grateful to the Corporation of Trinity House for extending us a grant to cover the costs of the room hire.
The final agenda for the Workshop is under development. A high-level timetable is included below:
Up to four separate Working Groups will meet on Friday 14th. The precise schedule for WG sessions is under development, however the Radiocommunications Working Group, ECDIS Working Group and Cyber Risk Working Group will definitely meet.
Members will be informed as soon as the final Working Group slot is decided upon.
This is the first CIRM Annual Technical Meeting and we find it difficult to estimate how many members will register.
The venue has a generous maximum capacity, but in the unlikely event that we reach the maximum number of registrations, CIRM will have to close registration. Therefore you are encouraged to register as soon as you can!
